How many days do you need in Bali?

10 days is the right length for a first trip to Bali. The island is slow to cross, so split the time between Ubud's rice terraces and temples and a stretch of coast in the south. With fewer days you see the highlights at a brisk pace; with more, add a day trip to Nusa Penida.
